Mentorship Pillars
Personal Practice & Self Study
Personal practice is the foundation for skillful teaching. Whether you are a long time student or a newer teacher, developing and sustaining a home practice is an important part of Svādhyāya (self-study).
This part of the program may include:
Discussions and suggestions for how to develop & maintain a home practice
Study of the Yoga Sutra and other key texts
Recommended resources including books, podcasts, etc. to support you on your path as a lifelong student of Yoga.
Finding Your Voice As A Teacher
Whether you’re a newly certified teacher or have been teaching for a while, developing the skill of clear and impactful communication is perhaps one of the most important aspects of guiding others in the practice.
This part of the program may include:
A deep dive into the art of cueing — speaking with clarity, conviction and inspiration.
Developing a sequencing structure that works for you / how to sequence for different types and lengths of classes.
Opportunities to practice in and assist classes.
Developing Your Career
Should this be of interest to you, we will discuss different ways to build your career as a yoga teacher, whether part-time or full-time. Together, we discuss the different avenues to explore as it relates to growing your career.
This part of the program may include:
Teaching opportunities and how to get them, keep them and refine them.
Best practices for creating content for workshops, series and/or retreats.
How to begin leading retreats if that’s of interest.
